The relationship between airspeed and the aerodynamic power requirement during flight (Pennycuick 2008; Klein et al. 2015). At minimum speed (V_min) and maximum speed (V_max), the required aerodynamic power equals the maximum available power output. At minimum power speed (V_mp) is when the required aerodynamic power is minimal (the speed for maximum endurance). At maximum range speed (V_mr) is when the cost of transport is minimal (the speed for maximum range)
