Thematic Series: Avian Evolution and Ecology

Background

Avian evolution and ecology are both constant evolving research topics. During the last 10 years, they have become more close-related than ever. The interplay between avian evolution and ecology has uncovered by novel and innovative approaches, such as the development of new DNA sequencing technologies. Several other methodological and theoretical advances have also contributed to this exciting research topic.

Here, we propose a Thematic Series entitled Avian Evolution and Ecology, which aims to reveal the interplay between wild bird evolution and ecology.  All research articles or review with innovative ideas on this important topic are welcomed.

Submitted papers cannot be published previously or under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be subject to standard peer review and editorial revision. Accepted papers will be published in open access, and the publication costs will be covered by the journal.

Please also indicate in the covering letter that the manuscript is to be considered for the “Avian Evolution and Ecology” Thematic Series. Submissions are invited until 31 August 2022.
