Maps were made using the R (R CoreTeam 2013) libraries maps and mapdata (Becker and Wilks 2013), maptools (Bivand and Lewin-Koh 2014) and scales (Wickham 2014). The distribution map is based on BirdLife International, NatureServe (2013) except for the Cambodia/Vietnam population of O. ruficeps (HBWalive; hbwalive.com)
