Attack latency (mean ± SE) of the subject males in the playback experiment. Attack latency was defined as the time between the first appearance of the subject male within 3 m of the mounted specimens and the time of physical contact with the mount specimen. The attack latency was significantly shorter in soft songs playback group than in the broadcast song playback group (t test, t 26 = 2.252, P = 0.033).
